Election Procedure:
At our annual meeting this year, we will elect 3 new board members for the positions currently held by John Siedo (running for re-election and re-election to President), Leslie Keitzman, and the vacant position.
After the new members of the board are elected, we will hold a second election to select executive board members (President, Vice-President, and Treasurer) from the pool of newly-elected and returning board members. Jonnie McCart (returning) and John Siedo (running for re-election) have announced their intention to run for president if elected to the board. Rick Grosso has announced his intention to run for vice-president if elected to the board. No current officer or candidate has announced an intention to run for Treasurer if elected to the board.

I am a highly experienced Gifted and Talented Bilingual Elementary K-8 School Teacher. I am also certified in All Level Art Education. I worked 16 years at NISD and 8 years in Houston. I have been a Professional Development Specialist in Learning Styles and Diversity. I owned a Women's Clothing Store for 5 years in Houston, and I worked as a Docent/Educator at the Houston Zoo for 5 years.

Born in Michigan, I was raised on the East Coast. I moved to Texas 35 years ago and am 'almost' a native. I love gardening, Zumba at the OP Schnabel YMCA, walking our Greenway, and having wonderful outdoor adventures throughout Braun Station. I have met so many neighbors and friends in Braun Station. Having recently retired, I am asking you to vote for me to become a board member in our community!

Please give a brief description of qualifications and past experience which qualifies you for this position:
I worked as secretary or treasurer for 20 years for the Texas Rugby Union. Duties included due collection and event management. I played Rugby for 20 years. I was also a member of the Brazosport Running Club in Lake Jackson, TX. I served as an official member, both organizing and running in races.

I grew up in Deep East Texas. After securing my degree in chemistry, I got married and moved to Lake Jackson, Texas, where I lived for 30 years. I worked as an industrial chemist. After the death of my wife during the Pandemic, I joined E-Harmony and met a great woman. She has lived in Braun Station for more than 20 years, which is why I moved here and bought my nice home close by hers! Now, I volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank, and have joined the Assistance League of San Antonio. I am running for your HOA Board of Directors to become part of this great community.

Hello, my name is Rebecca Dean. I have been a proud resident of Braun Station since 2002 and have long been interested in contributing to our community through the HOA. Since retiring last year, I am excited to dedicate my time and energy to helping Braun Station West thrive.
I am particularly passionate about addressing the Oak Wilt issue and would love to educate and empower our homeowners to protect our beautiful neighborhood. Recently, I volunteered at our Fall Expo, where I witnessed firsthand how events like these bring our community together and strengthen our bonds.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the HOA board and work collaboratively with neighbors to maintain and improve Braun Station.

A lifelong resident of San Antonio, I retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone (now AT&T), holding different managerial positions, and subsequently retired from Child Protective Services as a legal supervisor. I have a BA from St Mary’s University and an MA from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. My wife and I have a blended family of 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

I spent 37 years in the telecommunications industry in various roles, Network manager, Operations manager, and ending my career as a hybrid/fiber design and construction manager, managing a yearly budget of 20 to 40 million dollars.
Retired from work in 2017
Spent 9 years on the Braun Station West CIA, with the last year as CIA President.

I grew up an Air Force brat and lived most of my 64 years in San Antonio. At the start of my career, I installed Cable TV in new homes in Braun Station West. One of the homes I installed here, I purchased 20 years later with my wife of 21years.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and have lived in BSW for 40 years. I earned a B.S. in Education from UT Austin and an M.A. in Education from UTSA. I retired from NISD after 30 years of teaching and went to work for Pearson Education as a content specialist for math and science. I am married to Dave and have 2 kids, Richard and Katie. Dave retired from St. Mary's University after 35 years. We enjoy traveling, cruising, visiting with our grandkids, and being Santa and Mrs. Claus.

I have served as your Vice President and am presently the Treasurer. Now I am asking for your vote to be your BSW President. John Lewis once said,"When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something."
Increase Communication:
Regular updates, multiple channels (email, meetings), monthly informal sessions to directly listen to homeowners.
Be Transparent:
Share budgets, minutes, and decision rationale; publish the Board agenda regularly 10 days prior to the monthly meeting; publish the minutes within 10 days after a board meeting.
Show Value:
Explain how involvement leads to community improvements; recognize those that have contributed and place a strong effort in offering volunteer opportunities to ALL residents.
Create Committees:
Offer varied ways to contribute interest-based services and assistance; we are self-managed, but we cannot do it alone. We need the great talents and skills of others in our community.
Personal Outreach:
Directly invite less-engaged residents to participate. We need to talk to ALL people. Provide varied activities that reach out to ALL our community. Bring back favored historical events.

Biographical Sketch
My name is John Siedo, and I am a 30-year resident of Braun Station West. I am married to my wonderful wife of over 45 years, and together we are both deeply dedicated to our community. Since retiring from my career as a locomotive engineer, I have enjoyed my free time playing golf and an occasional pickleball game. I enjoy being involved in our community & serving Braun Station West. I value transparency, teamwork, and thoughtful leadership and am committed to maintaining and improving the quality of life in our neighborhood. I take pride in contributing my time and experience to help ensure Braun Station West remains a strong, welcoming, and well-managed community.
Qualifications & Experience
I have attended Braun Station West Board of Directors meetings regularly for the past six years and have served three years as a Director on the Board, three months as Vice President, and the last year and a half as President of the Association. I have been fortunate to serve alongside a highly cohesive Board of Directors, through which we successfully completed more than 22 BSW community projects at or under budget, along with 7 improvement projects in collaboration with the City of San Antonio. The renovation of our Tezel Clubhouse alone increased our income from $4000 a year to $32,000 a year last year. There is more to be done as our budget allows, and I am committed to executing the projects that will improve our community.
